If you have a garage, odds are it's filled with random sports balls scattered amongst the shelves and on the ground. If you'd like to keep them more accessible and organized, it's surprisingly easy to add a supermarket-style bungee cord organizer to your wall.
You've probably seen something like this at the store to hold various balls in place, but the concept works just as well at home. Wendy at Designed To Dwell shows how her husband nailed a few pieces of wood into their garage's exposed studs, and then attached a few off-the-shelf bungee cords to keep the balls from falling out. Obviously, this tip is easier if you don't have drywall installed in your garage, but you could still do it with a little reworking. The cords make it easy to reach in and get the ball you need without having to dig around looking for it, and you can add more cords if necessary to hold smaller items as well.
